Knights in action Nationally The work of the knights is carried out at both a local and national level. In recent years, the KSC's National Action Projects have raised in excess of £750,000 for successful campaigns to support :- 'Wells for Water' in Africa, the 'Help the Hospices' movement, 'Partners for Health'. known as 'Unsung Heroes', In conjunction with the Samaritans The Knights of St Columba ran a life-saving partnership, through a three year fundraising scheme. The National Action Project up Supreme Council meeting in November 2013 was Aid to the Church in need “Sudan—Save the Savable” The Current project until Supreme Council 2015 is "Mary's Meals" helping to feed Children in various deprived areas around the world,This has been a 2 year project by which those who attend schooling are given a hot midday meal.Also during it's time the project funded the building of an extension at a school which can double up as a classroom and a Kitchen where the meals can be made.
